Holiday Closure Dates

The Writers College will be closing at 5 pm on the 15th of December 2023.

We will be back on the 8th of January 2024.

Can I still apply for a course?

You are welcome to apply for a course during this time. We will process all applications when we return on the 8th of January.

Should I start my course now or in the New Year?

You are welcome to apply for a course and get started before we close. For many people, starting a course over the festive season break is a great opportunity to spend some time writing. If you do start a course that will run over the festive season, we automatically add an extra 21 days to cover any time you or your tutor might take off.

What if I need my tutor over the break?

Most of our tutors will have a well-deserved break. Some of our tutors may be available during this time. They will communicate their availability with you. Some courses allow the student to download subsequent modules from the student centre at any time. If your tutor normally sends you subsequent modules, please make sure to request them before the 15th of December in case your tutor will be away. You are welcome to send assignments for marking to your tutor at any time but please be patient if your tutor is unavailable. If you have the next module, you are welcome to look ahead and start considering your next tasks.
